Details:
This is an authentic original daily comic strip from Garfield, one of the most widely syndicated comic strips in history, created by Jim Davis.
The strip, dated 8-12-04, features Garfield humorously dealing with a “spider convention,” culminating in a classic slapstick punchline. The three-panel composition includes Garfield’s signature expression and timing, making it a strong example of the character’s enduring comedic appeal.
Executed in ink over blue pencil on Bristol board, this piece showcases the traditional comic art production process. The blue pencil underdrawing is visible, a hallmark of original comic art and highly valued by collectors.
Original Garfield daily strips are increasingly sought after due to the strip’s global popularity and the scarcity of hand-drawn originals on the market.
